Hello to the creator of this site and all its visitors. Pindi is a place I heard of through a friend who originates from and regularly returns to the area and I was fascinated by the facts and photos on this site. So thank you for all your hard work. Incidentally 'If one day' is a fabulous piece of poetry that encapsulates for me the essence of friendship. Excellent. Allah Hafiz.

Hi mera pindi, well i am from peshawer but i spent almost 6 years in pindi from 2000-2006.Although i was very new to this area at that time coz i came here to start my first job, but i went soluble with colours of this city.People say "lahore lahore hay" but they don't know that actually "pindi tu pindi hay, lahore kia hay---nahee koi pindi jaisa".After getting settled here in Newyork i still cant forget Rawalpindi, all my memories still as fresh as i am still in pindi.I cant forget the Burger and chat of ciros cinema compound, baryani of savour foods, kareem samosay wala and many more.Long live pindi and pakistan and Best Of luck to Dr Kashif Ahmed for producing such a wonderful awesome website.
Omais -
I came across this website when I decided to visit Pindi as I had no clue about Pindi before browsing this website. Honestly I never thought about the utility of any city's website as I never came across such a sudden trip. Tomorrow I will be in Pindi. Thanks to PindiPlus for guiding me about the basic areas.

Assalam o Alaikum, Dear Kashif, nice to see this website. I am working in Nokia, Finland, and i miss my city a lot. Its so nice to see all the pictures and other stuff related to Rawalpindi. I used to live at college Road, in China Market. Nowadays, we have moved to Gulzar-e-Quaid, near Airport. I studied in St.Mary's School and then Gordon College, so i have a lot of feelings for my city. Keep this work up and its a great piece of work. I am planning to take a lot of snaps of Rawalpindi, when i will visit. Prayer for all. Allah hafiz

What a great site. I have been searching for my Uncles grave and found it is in the Harley Street cemetery. He died in 1932 in the British Military Hospital, Rawalpindi. I plan to visit Rawalpindi, possibly in 2007 and this site is definitely bookmarked for information gathering. Thank you very much for putting it together.
Tariq Askari -
Salam, It is good start and I appreciate this try. I think no site about any city, place and country is complete without its known personalties and cultural and social acts. Please try to add this and also Pindi is also historical city, and if any thing is left of that, please add this also. Otherwise in 10 years there will be nothing left. And The great poets and writers, actors, singers and political people or families who blessed this city must be included.
Raana -
Hi,i like your website, especially poetry, i sent many poems to my net friend. Keep it up. Bye.
Yasir Malik -

Lovely to see pictures of Rawalpindi as it is today. I was there 1946(!), also spent a summer in Murree Hills, amazing when the clouds came down and enveloped the house we were in. I have a few pictures but totally unrecognizable against the web pictures of today. Thank you for the memory jog.

Dear Dr. Kashif Assalal-o-Alaikum. You have taken a wonderful initiative for 'pindiwals'. You may go further to connect old friends and mates. Sajad Ahmed Yousaf -
Assalamu alaikum My name is sajad yousaf and i live in the uk, i really love your site and it reminds me of all the places i have visited in pindi, i think pindi is a beautiful city i prefer it to islamabad and i would rather live there than in the uk, my father has a house in morgah moor so maybe inshallah i will live there one day, i love your video and photo section, i think you should take photos of some of the houses in pindi because some of the houses i have seen in pakistan are absolutely amazing there is nothing of that sort here in the uk and i would like to show my friends what they are missing out on as i know people who haven't ever been to pakistan or who haven't visited in years and think it is a backward country. Anyway i must congratulate you on your wonderful website, everybody talks about lahore and karachi but you are putting pindi on the map so well done. I hope to hear from you soon. Allah Hafiz Sajad Ahmed Yousaf.
